Overview:
** THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION M-F, 9AM - 4PM, 10/21/21 - 12/03/21**

SUMMARY:
 To respond to client’s request and needs for Christmas assistance.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide the public with information regarding Salvation Army Christmas assistance programs.
  • The ability to a be self-starter and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Be knowledgeable about holiday assistance in the metro area and make referrals as needed.
  • Complete and approve online Christmas applications.
  • Display professionalism when working with clients on the phone and in person.
  • Schedule appointments and complete in person Christmas applications.
  • Ensure that all applications are accurate and entered in a timely manner.
  • Return all phone calls from clients regarding the Christmas assistance programs.
  • Perform any other duties assigned duties by supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have good customer service and data entry skills with the ability to type 45 words per minute.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have High Diploma or GED and a minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training in customer service and data entry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
The work environment is a business office setting with office equipment, light traffic and moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
